Aeroplanes...Visitors to RVS from the home of Boeing.

How does thrust help a aircraft fly? What is the fuel used in aeroplanes? These were some of the questions asked by the students of Rotary Vidyarambam School, Nagappattinam during the course of a presentation on aeroplanes done by Devin 'anna' and Jessica 'akka'.

Devin (7th grade) and Jessica (entering college) from Seattle, USA visited RVS along with their grandparents Mrs. Diane Cole and Mr. Donald Cole who are retired Boeing engineers. Devin and Jessica explained to their audience the different parts of an aircraft and the forces that make an aeroplane fly. The 4th and 5th STD students of RVS listened with rapt attention taking part in the activities with enthusiasm.

The students (and teachers:)) followed the instructions given by Devin 'anna' and constructed their own origami planes and flew them....

The visitors also observed some of the classes in RVS. They were thoroughly impressed by the good behaviour and the eager-to-learn attitude that they saw among the RVS kids. They traveled to villages near Seekazhi to take a look at some of our other programs. Mrs. Cole had special words appreciation for all the VT teachers.
